A home on one of the best streets in the Hollywood Dell is where the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) was born in 1933 when silent-screen actors began hosting ‘secret’ meetings at their home. Later in the 1940s, the home was purchased by British actor John Abbott who appeared in more than 100 movies and remained in the house until his death in 1996 at the age of 90.

Now for sale at $1.53 million, the updated two-bedroom home includes a full chef’s kitchen with imported cabinetry, formal living room with a fireplace, and a dining area and den that open to a lushly landscaped yard and patio area. The listing agent is Cory Weiss from Douglas Elliman in Beverly Hills.
