Both a rare conversation piece and a charming small home, a former working windmill in the Hamptons was converted into a home in the 1950s by Faberge cosmetics-founder, Samuel Rubin. Marilyn Monroe and her husband, Arthur Miller, rented the home in the 1950s as an escape from the New York media. The Windmill House is now for sale priced at $11.5 million.
