The Biggest Bad Housing Idea!
The “Time Share King” may have gotten a bit carried away when he decided to build a 90,000 square foot palace in central Florida at the height of the real estate bubble. When the home market collapsed along with easy credit and most of the country's time share buyers, David Siegel, who made his fortune peddling Florida time shares, and his wife Jackie were left with a partially finished home that they could no longer afford. The home is now for sale at $75 million unfinished, or they will complete the construction for a buyer who is willing to pay $100 million. The sad story is now a Sundance Film Festival documentary entry "The Queen of Versailles".
