Obama’s 2012 Hawaii Vacation


After winning an exhaustive election and at the same time being bombarded by right wing media, controversy over health care, a slow growing economy and now a stalemate with Republicans over the fiscal cliff, this is a President who has earned a vacation. Unfortunately, the Obama family’s Christmas vacation for 2012 will be cut short due to the Presidents need to return to Washington after Christmas to resume talks to resolve fiscal cliff issues before January 1st.

Paradise Point Estates is where President Obama, Michelle and children spent their Christmas vacations from 2008 to 2010. The 7,000 square foot home with a guest cottage, lagoon-style pool, waterfalls and lanais behind a seven foot lava wall was not available for their 2011 Christmas vacation. The First Family stayed in a similar home last year, just a few hundred yards from the Paradise Point Estates. more

Although this Paradise Point home rents for over $20,000 per week, the Obamas always pay for the rental out of their private funds. In addition to the home’s location, it also boasts the high level of security required by the First Family.
